Gilroy was founded in 1867 after getting its start in 1850 as a stage stop along the Monterey Road linking San Jose and Monterey. From then until recently, this has been an agricultural community. Now it is perhaps the fastest growing city in Santa Clara County, a definite part of Silicon Valley. This growth has come about because of high-tech software, support industries, several manufacturing and production industries. Indian Motorcycle headquarters are in Gilroy. The 100 year old legendary motorcycle was brought back to life, now manufactured here.
Considerable recreation is available in and around Gilroy, including golf courses and water sports in several nearby reservoirs. Cal-Train currently makes its last stop here as a commuter connection to San Francisco and all cities in between. The climate is often described as "Mediterranean" with mild temperatures. The climate is hot and dry in the summer with mild winters during the rainy season.

This site will lead you to Exclusive Buyer Agents (EBA) who can help you find and purchase houses, condominiums, lots, residential income properties, etc. Multiple listings (MLS) are only a portion of the homes you will see. Learn about the rest of the available properties in our system, such as bank owned, divorce, FSBO, to name a few. You will enjoy information on buying tips, neighborhoods, schools, loans, current market conditions, how to get good deals, negotiating strategies and protecting yourself from buying a bad property. There are articles and recommended books to read. Buying a home means a lot of money at risk. It is best to read up on the process first.

Free CD entitled: "Avoiding Costly Mistakes in the Home Buying Process"
This CD gives you a few mistakes to avoid. Our agents will inform you of many more mistakes to avoid, mistakes that you might never find out about otherwise. Here are a couple tiny examples: Do you know of all the possible home inspections you might want to have performed? To name a few: termite inspection, property inspection, roof inspection, chimney/fireplace inspection, foundation inspection. And did you know that there is a difference between inspectors, and why? To give you a clue, an inspector who wants repeat business from a seller's agent will write up a report that is satisfactory to that agent, meaning "keep it toned down and do not scare off the buyer". On the other hand, an inspector who wants repeat business from an Exclusive Buyer's Agent will write up a report that is satisfactory to that agent who wants to know "every possible thing wrong with the place". As a purchaser of a home, which report do you want?

Our agents provide access to all homes on the market, determine real home value before you buy, compare neighborhoods, really negotiate. And we are willing to show you FSBO's.

We show FSBO's!! Does anyone else do that?
HomeBuyer Agents serve 8 northern California counties: Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda, San Francisco, Contra Costa, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Monterey.
