As you
learn our neighborhoods, you find that many areas were names of towns until
1956 when they all joined together to become our city named after the famous
explorer of the same name. Mission San Jose is not just an excellent area
with great schools and a famous mission. It was once a town. Same for Centerville,
Niles, Warm Springs and Irvington. Before the 680 Freeway came along, the
best way to get to Livermore, Tracy and Stockton from the San Jose area
was through these towns and up the Niles Canyon. What a beautiful drive
that was! Our community is close to silicon valley jobs and located where
one can purchase property at a reasonable price, comparatively speaking.
Many Silicon Valley employees have made this their home. The city is served
by BART and Highway 880. It had a nationally famous drag strip just off
the 880 for many years after hot rods became popular.

To give you a clue, an inspector who wants repeat business from a seller's
agent will write up a report that is satisfactory to that agent, meaning
"keep
it toned down so as to not scare off the buyer". On the other hand,
an inspector who wants repeat business from an Exclusive Buyer's Agent
will write up a report that is satisfactory to that agent, or "find
every possible thing wrong with the place".
