Our community is not actually a part of Palo Alto, but a separate
town situated on the southwest edge of San Francisco Bay. A golf course
and a nature preserve lie on its eastern border, Menlo Park lies to its
west and the San Francisco Bay to the north. The town began to grow the
most rapidly just after World War II when there was a great deal of housing
development. Today, the city is multi-ethnic including Caucasians, African-Americans,
Pacific Islanders and Hispanics. Incorporated in 1983, its area is approximately
2.5 square miles.
The Major Taylor Cycling Club promotes bike riding and education with the
aim of bettering the quality of life in the community. There is also a
children's soccer club and many excellent offerings at the city library
including arts performances, and adult computer classes.
Real estate prices are somewhat more reasonable here than in other parts
of the Bay Area. Please contact us and we will be happy to show you homes
available here.
