Ron Porter (CA DRE#00893599)
majored in Dairy Industries and Engineering at Iowa State College. He worked
several years in milk processing plants, including making butter, cheese,
ice cream, powdered milk and pasteurizing processes. He is a 20 year hi-tech
manufacturing manager retiree from Memorex and Verbatim, and is now the
manager of the Bay Area office of HomeBuyer Agents, Inc. Ron was an ordinary
real estate agent for ten years with Contempo Realty, of which he was a
buyer's agent for the last half of that period. He started practicing buyer
brokerage with Altas Realty in 1995. In February 1996 he helped start up
the area's first exclusive buyer agency, Buyer's Advocate Realty, in San
Jose. That was followed in 1998 by 3 years with Buyer Vision Realty out
of Sacramento with a virtual office in Sunnyvale. In 2001 Ron partnered
with HomeBuyer Agents, Inc. out of San Diego to head up their current San
Jose office.
Ron is happily married with his wife, Beverly. He has 7 children, 10 grandchildren,
and 2 grandchildren on the way. Two children at home are their twin boys
age born in 1994. Three adult children are in California, 1 in Idaho and
1 in Colorado. Ron has 7 brothers and sisters, 1 in California, 1 in South
Dakota and 5 in Iowa. He has over 20 nephews and neices and several grand-nephews
and neices, some in California, Wyoming, South Dakota, Iowa and Texas.
Ron helps
his agents provide Exclusive Buyer Agency services in the 8 counties of
Monterey, San Benito, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra
Costa and San Francisco.
